Kitchen Cottage is a 4-star, two-bedroom dog-friendly cottage in Mousehole - the granite-built fishing village 3 miles south of Penzance. It sits about 100 metres from Mousehole Harbour Beach, a sheltered cove between two stone piers where calm water makes it well suited to young children. Inside, the cottage has a kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, plus free WiFi throughout. A private entrance gives independent access without shared corridors. Two bedrooms and a single bathroom keep the layout compact but practical for couples or a small family with a dog.

Outside, a barbecue area extends the space for warmer evenings. There is no on-site parking - pay-and-display is a short walk uphill, and bus route 6 runs to Penzance every 30 minutes in summer. Mousehole's harbour wall dates from the 14th century; the harbour dries at low tide, leaving fishing boats on the sand. The Rock Pool cafe on the quay, a handful of art galleries, and the Tom Bawcock's Eve light display each December give the village genuine character beyond the beach.

The South West Coast Path connects Mousehole to Lamorna Cove, 2 miles west, and Newlyn, 1.5 miles east. St Michael's Mount is reachable in under 30 minutes by car.

**Best for:** couples or small families who want atmosphere over facilities - Mousehole's harbour setting is one of the most distinctive in west Cornwall. Dogs welcome.

**Less good for:** anyone needing guaranteed on-site parking, or groups wanting more than 2 bedrooms.
