Castaways

Castaways is a 3-bedroom cottage in Porthtowan, sleeping 6 across 2 bathrooms, set 60 metres from the Blue Flag beach. The sitting room faces the sea, with a wood burner for cooler evenings. The open-plan kitchen and dining area includes a dishwasher. Upstairs, 3 bedrooms share a family bathroom, with one twin room having its own en-suite shower room. The enclosed rear garden has a picnic bench.

Dogs are welcome. Parking is on site. There is no WiFi or washing machine.

Porthtowan beach is directly in front of the cottage - a west-facing sandy beach popular with surfers and families, with a seasonal cafe and lifeguard cover. Portreath Beach is 4.6km up the coast, with its working harbour and sandy arc. Trevaunance Cove at St Agnes is 4.7km in the other direction - a narrower beach at the base of cliffs with surf and a seasonal beach bar. The South West Coast Path runs along the cliff tops above the village.
