Cedar Lodge

Cedar Lodge sits on a working farm in the centre of Cornwall, two miles from Lanivet, which is 5 miles from Bodmin. Everything is on the ground floor: two bedrooms, a bathroom, and an open-plan room that holds the kitchen, dining table and sitting area. The walls are real Baltic pine logs.

The main bedroom has a king-size double with its own en-suite shower, WC and basin. The second is a twin whose zip-and-link beds can be made up as a super king-size double on request, and it is close to the family bathroom, which has a bath with a shower over. The lodge sleeps four. Fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent, though you should bring your own beach towels.

Outside there is a large garden with a veranda, furniture and a patio where a disposable barbecue can be used. Off-road parking takes two cars, and a travel cot and highchair are available. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, and there is WiFi. Heating is electric. The nearest shop and pub are two miles away.

Changeover day is Saturday, school-holiday bookings are for seven nights only, and short breaks must run Saturday to Saturday. From 2027 changeover moves to Friday. There is no smoking, and no pets are accepted. The lodge suits a family or two couples; it is less good for anyone travelling with a dog.
