Hazel Lodge

A genuine log cabin built from square Baltic pine, Hazel Lodge stands 2 miles from the village of Lanivet, close to the middle of Cornwall. An enclosed full-width veranda with furniture and a patio look out over the countryside. It sleeps four on one floor.

The bedrooms are a double and a zip-and-link room, which makes up as a super king-size double or as twin beds depending on how the party is split. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over, a basin and a WC. The open plan living room has sitting and dining areas and a kitchen with an electric cooker, a microwave, a fridge freezer, a washer dryer and a dishwasher. It also has a Smart TV, a DVD player, WiFi, and books, games and DVDs. Heating is by electric panel heaters, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included, though beach towels should be brought. A travel cot and highchair are provided.

There is a new play area for children aged 10 and under, and a paddock of nearly two acres for ball games, kite flying or picnics. The garden has furniture, and the patio has a place for a disposable barbecue. Parking is off road for 2 cars, and the shop and pub are 2 miles away.

Pets and smoking are not allowed. Changeover is on Saturday, school-holiday bookings must be 7 nights, and short breaks run Saturday to Saturday, with a Friday changeover from 2027. The lodge can be booked with five other lodges, together sleeping 21. It suits two couples or a family with young children.
