Charleston Cottage

Charlestown Cottage sits in the hamlet of Goldenbank on the edge of Falmouth, inside the Pendra Loweth estate. It is a two-bedroom home that sleeps three: the main bedroom has a double bed and a TV, and the second has a 4ft double that suits only one guest.

The open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, Smart TV and superfast broadband. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. A patio garden with seating is outside, and there is off-road parking for one car, plus visitor parking on the estate. A highchair and cot are available.

Estate facilities are shared with other guests. The indoor plunge pool measures about 3 metres each way, is 1.4 metres deep and takes a maximum of four people at a time. The bar, restaurant, pool and Jacuzzi open seasonally, usually from the beginning of April to the end of October, while the gym, tennis courts and children's play area run all year. Pubs and shops are around a mile away, and the beach is 1.1 miles.

One well-behaved dog is welcome, and dogs must be on a lead anywhere on the estate. Bookings for work or business trips are not permitted, and sign-written vans and commercial vehicles are not allowed on site. The cottage suits a couple or a small family; it is less good for three adults, since the second bed is a 4ft double for one guest. Smoking is not allowed.
