Charlotte's House

Charlotte's House is a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom cottage on St Johns Terrace in Pendeen village, sleeping 7. The bedroom split - two king-size rooms, one double with an en-suite, and one single - makes it practical for families or a mixed group where privacy matters. The open-plan downstairs has an open fire as the focal point, with a fully equipped kitchen alongside. A private garden runs to the rear of the property, useful in finer weather.

Pendeen sits on the Penwith Heritage Coast between St Just and St Ives, in the western tip of Cornwall. The immediate area is defined by its industrial mining history - Geevor Tin Mine Museum and Levant Mine (a National Trust beam engine) are both within a short drive. The mining landscape is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the footpaths connecting the two mines have long views along the granite cliffs towards Cape Cornwall.

For beaches, Priests Cove at Cape Cornwall is 2.5 miles - a small cove popular with kayakers and wild swimmers, with the cape headland above it. Gwynver Beach is 4.4 miles and offers a longer stretch of sand. Sennen Cove, one of the most consistent surf breaks in the county, is 5.5 miles. St Ives is under 20 minutes east by road.

This house suits families or small groups who want a Penwith base combining coast walks with heritage sites. Good for those interested in the mining landscape or planning a west Cornwall road trip. Not great for guests who need evening entertainment nearby - Pendeen is a working village with a pub but limited dining. Saturday changeover.
