Chy An Gweal

Chy An Gweal is a two-bedroom cottage on the St Ives and Carbis Bay border, sitting in an elevated position with sea views across the bay. It sleeps 4 and is dog-friendly (1 dog), with a wood burner, sea-view balcony, and a staggered patio garden outside.

The layout covers two floors. On the ground floor: a snug with a wood burner and stained-glass internal window, a galley kitchen with electric oven, hob, dishwasher, and washing machine, and a twin bedroom with a bathroom that has both a bath and a separate walk-in shower. Upstairs, the double bedroom has sea views and opens to a bright lounge with a Smart TV and Juliet balcony overlooking the water. A shower room is also on this floor. Outside, a sun house and patio provide sheltered outdoor space. One parking space is on site.

Carbis Bay beach - a Blue Flag sandy cove - is 0.4km away. Porthminster Beach is 1.6km, and St Ives harbour is 1.8km along the coast path. The Tate St Ives gallery and Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden are within easy reach in town. Gwithian Towans and Godrevy are about 6 miles for a longer beach day. Land's End is 18 miles west.

Best for couples or small families wanting sea views, coast path access, and easy reach of St Ives without paying town-centre prices. Less good for larger groups - the cottage is set up for 4 and one of the twin bedrooms is on the ground floor with limited privacy from the main living areas.
