Chy An Mor

Chy An Mor is a three-bedroom cottage set across three floors in Mevagissey, a fishing village on the south Cornwall coast where the double harbour still lands and ships fresh catch daily. The village shops and pubs are within a mile.

The ground floor contains a kitchen-diner with TV and a separate sitting room with a wood-burning stove. On the first floor, two double bedrooms - one with a balcony and outdoor furniture - share a shower room. A twin bedroom occupies the second floor. Note that the stairs to the second floor are steeper than average.

An enclosed rear patio provides a private outdoor seating area. Parking for one car is available. One dog is welcome.

Pentewan Beach, a near-mile stretch of golden sand with summer lifeguards, is 1.4 miles away. Gorran Haven Beach - a crescent-shaped cove sheltered by harbour walls - sits 2.1 miles south. Mevagissey's car-free inner lanes, stone buildings and tea rooms are all on foot from the front door, and the summer ferry to Fowey runs from the harbour.

**Best for:** guests wanting a village-centre base, given Mevagissey's shops, pubs and harbour are within a mile. **Less good for:** guests wanting to avoid stairs, since the stairs to the second-floor twin bedroom are steeper than average and the cottage spans three floors.
