Harbour Retreat

Harbour Retreat is a three-storey cottage in Mevagissey, sleeping six across three bedrooms. The cottage has just one bathroom for the full group, a detail worth weighing for a party of six sharing over a week.

Inside, a wood burner warms one living space and an open fire another, giving two separate places to gather on cooler evenings. The kitchen has a dishwasher, and a washing machine handles laundry mid-stay. Wi-Fi and parking are included, and an enclosed garden gives private outdoor space within the village. Dogs are not accepted.

Pentewan Beach is 1.4 miles away, with Gorran Haven Beach 2 miles and Hemmick Beach 3 miles further round the coast. Mevagissey itself is a working fishing village where the inner streets are too narrow for cars, lined instead with stone buildings, tea rooms and pubs around the double harbour; the Mevagissey guide covers the village in full. A summer ferry crosses to Fowey for a day out without moving the car.

Changeover is on Saturdays. **Best for:** a group of six wanting a village cottage with two fire features, an enclosed garden and full laundry facilities. **Less good for:** dog owners, EV drivers, or six guests who would struggle sharing a single bathroom.
