Chy Lowen

Chy Lowen is a reverse-level cottage on Peverell Terrace in Porthleven, one of a pair of former coastguard cottages just 300 metres from the harbour and beach. Dogs are welcome.

The two bedrooms sit on the ground floor - one king-size and one triple bunk - alongside a shower room with walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and WC. Upstairs, the open-plan first-floor living space takes advantage of the elevated position, with a kitchen, dining area, sitting area, and access to an enclosed balcony with furniture. Underfloor heating runs throughout. The kitchen has a combi microwave/oven, dishwasher, coffee machine, and washer/dryer.

A highchair and stairgate are available. Roadside parking is provided, and the pub is just 0.1 miles away. Access is via steps at the rear of the property, and the internal stairs are narrow without a handrail on the upper section.

Porthleven Beach is 300 metres away - a south-west-facing sandy beach with lifeguard cover in summer and reliable winter surf. Porthcew at Rinsey Cove, a National Trust beach with clear water, is 2.4 miles along the coast. Porthleven itself has become one of Cornwall's top food destinations, with Kota Restaurant on the harbour and the annual Food Festival each April.
