Cloud 10

Cloud 10 is a three-bedroom reverse-level apartment in St Ives, sleeping six with sea views from the upper-floor living space. Large folding doors open onto a Juliet balcony, and a separate side balcony has an outdoor sofa and chairs.

The three bedrooms sit on the ground floor - two doubles and a bunk room. Both double bedrooms have doors opening onto the terrace and enclosed front garden, and one has an en-suite. A family bathroom with bathtub and shower serves the remaining rooms. The upper floor holds the kitchen, dining area, and living room, designed to make the most of the elevated coastal views. WiFi, dishwasher, and washing machine are included. One dog is welcome.

The enclosed garden at ground level has a lawn and decking patio for outdoor dining. Porthminster Beach is 400 metres away - a south-facing, lifeguarded sandy beach with calm water sheltered from the Atlantic swell and an award-winning beachfront cafe. St Ives Harbour Beach is 500 metres, with views of fishing boats and clear water protected by Smeaton's Pier.

St Ives has four beaches in total, the Tate gallery on Porthmeor, and an artists' colony that has drawn painters since the 1880s. A bus stop on the same road connects to the town centre and beaches, avoiding the steep walk back uphill. The leisure centre sits directly opposite for early morning laps.

Best for groups wanting sea views without paying for a house, since the upper-floor living room and Juliet balcony face the water. Less good for guests who prefer ground-floor living space, as the kitchen and lounge are up a flight of stairs from the bedrooms.
