Cobble Cottage

Cobble Cottage stands beside the river in Lerryn, with the shop, the pub and the water all 0.1 miles away. It is a whitewashed house on three floors that sleeps four, and the sitting room opens onto a glass-fronted balcony with furniture. Lerryn is at the tidal head of a creek off the Fowey estuary, with Lostwithiel 3 miles away and Fowey 3.5 miles downstream.

The bedrooms are a king-size with riverside views and a twin, sharing one bathroom with a bath and shower over. The kitchen/diner has a dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer, and the external utility on the lower ground floor has a washer/dryer but no tumble dryer. Outside, the enclosed front patio has furniture and a charcoal barbecue. Central heating is electric, and WiFi, a Bose sound system, binoculars and a selection of books and games are provided. A stairgate is available.

There are several booking rules. Children under eight are not accepted, and the staircase has large gaps between the balustrades, so children need supervision on it. The property is reached by steps, and there is no electric vehicle charging. Parking is on the roadside or in the free public car park nearby, and both the road and the car park can flood, so check the tides. Pets and smoking are not allowed, and guests should bring their own beach towels.

The cottage suits couples, friends or older families; it is less good for young children, given the age limit and the open balustrades.
