Curlew

Curlew is a single-storey, three-bedroom cottage in the Trelyn area of Rock, on the east bank of the Camel Estuary. The property sleeps six across a king-size bedroom and two twin rooms, all on one level - practical for guests who prefer ground-floor living. Rock's sailing schools and waterfront are a short walk away.

Inside, the sitting room has an open fire for cool evenings, and the kitchen-diner is fitted with a cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. A shower room and a separate bathroom serve all three bedrooms. A utility room and garage add useful overflow storage.

Outside, an enclosed rear garden has patio and lawn areas; a front garden adds more space. Off-road parking fits two cars, and an on-site EV charger is available via app. The estuary water taxi to Padstow runs from Rock's slipway every 20 minutes, avoiding the need to drive round the estuary. The Camel Trail cycle path picks up at Wadebridge, 4 miles south.

Daymer Bay - a sheltered sandy estuary beach with calm, shallow water - is 1.4 miles away. Greenaway Beach, known for its rock pools, lies 1.7 miles distant. For surf, Polzeath is about 2.1 miles north with a reliable RNLI-patrolled break.

**Best for:** families wanting one-level living, EV drivers, anyone who wants Padstow restaurants without Padstow crowds. **Less good for:** those wanting sea views or a hot tub; surf-focused trips are better based at Polzeath directly.
