Each floor gives the cottage a clear vertical division - ground floor living, middle floor bedrooms, top floor further sleeping space - which suits families where adults and children want separate levels. East Looe Beach is a minute's walk. Hannafore Beach, a quieter west-facing stretch across the estuary, is 0.9km. Plaidy Beach, a more sheltered cove, is 1.2km along the coastal path. The town's fish restaurants, shops, and the small aquarium are all within a short walk from the front door. Looe is also on a branch rail line from Liskeard - useful if arriving without a car.

Best for families with dogs who want beach-door access without sacrificing town facilities. Less good for those needing a garden - the cottage has no outdoor space of its own.
