Bodmin Moor's Brown Willy and Rough Tor are 5 miles south-east for higher walking.

Best for couples or two-couple groups wanting a contemporary, accessible base for the north coast without staying on it. Less good for guests who want to walk straight onto a beach or harbour from the front door.
