Demelza 1

Demelza 1 is one of four apartments in a private riverside group at Helford Passage, with views from the living room and master bedroom across the Helford River. It has a double and a twin bedroom, with a shared heated outdoor pool open from 1 May to the end of September and direct gate access to the beach and the Ferryboat Inn.

The layout is open-plan, with a living and dining space, kitchen with dishwasher and washer-dryer, and two bedrooms off the main room. There is WiFi throughout and an EV charging point on site. Eighteen steps lead down from the car park to the property. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, and changeover is on Fridays.

Outside, each apartment has a private patio and share of a large lawn, with separate gates leading to the beach, pool and the Ferryboat Inn. Kayaks and paddleboards can be hired on site, and the Helford foot ferry runs seasonally across to Helford village.

Helford Passage sits on the north bank of the Helford River, about 5 miles south of Falmouth. Trebah and Glendurgan gardens are within walking distance, and Daphne du Maurier's Frenchman's Creek is reachable by footpath from the south bank after a ferry crossing. Best for couples who want river access, water activities, and gardens on the doorstep. Less suited to families with young children, given the steps at the water's edge.
