Helford Passage Beach is about 100 metres from the gate. Ponsence Cove is 1 mile along the coast and Porth Saxon Beach 1.1 miles. The seasonal foot ferry from the Ferryboat Inn - where the pub terrace overlooks the water - crosses to Helford village on the south bank, giving access to footpaths to Frenchman's Creek. Trebah Garden and Glendurgan Garden are both under half a mile from the hamlet. Falmouth is about 15 minutes by car.

Best for a couple wanting a waterside base with a pool and outdoor space, who plan to explore the Helford by water and visit the National Trust gardens. Less good for larger groups (sleeping cap is 2) or those coming in winter when the pool and ferry are both closed.
