Demelza 4 is a ground-floor apartment at Helford Passage on the north bank of the Helford River, sleeping four across two bedrooms. The apartment has been refurbished to a contemporary standard with the key advantage of direct access to the shared garden, beach, and outdoor pool through separate gates at the rear.

Inside, dual-aspect windows bring light from two sides and a wood burner provides warmth for shoulder-season stays. Wi-Fi, parking, dishwasher, washing machine, and EV charging are all included. The layout suits a small family or two couples.

The shared grounds include a heated outdoor swimming pool open from 1 May to the end of September. Kayak and paddleboard hire is available on site. The beach and the South West Coast Path sit on the doorstep.

The Ferry Boat Inn at Helford Passage serves seafood on a waterfront terrace. The seasonal foot ferry crosses to the south bank for walks to Daphne du Maurier's Frenchman's Creek, or lunch at the Shipwrights Arms in Helford village. Trebah Garden (26 acres running down to a private beach) and Glendurgan Garden (National Trust, with an 1833 laurel maze) are both within about half a mile along the lane. Falmouth is around 20 minutes by car.

Best for: couples or families who want direct beach access and a pool on the Helford, with subtropical gardens on the doorstep. Less good for: guests expecting the pool year-round - it closes at the end of September.
