Converted barn near Bodmin Moor with wood burner and big lawned gardens

One of five barn conversions on the peaceful Trenarlett Farm, this property is a base for exploring Bodmin Moor and the surrounding coast. Shell Woods, Delford Bridge and the Trippet Stone Circle are all within 5 miles. Anglers can reach Temple Trout Fisheries (5.5 miles) or Colliford Lake (9 miles), and cyclists can join the Camel Trail at Wenford Bridge (4 miles). Port Isaac is 9 miles for the sandy cove at Port Gaverne.

The single-storey barn conversion has a contemporary-meets-traditional interior, with exposed brickwork, stone-flagged flooring and original beams alongside stylish décor. A bedroom with private en-suite sits on each side of the property, with shared living space at its centre. Each bedroom has a zip-and-link bed made up as a super-king or twin on request - there are three steps down to the second bedroom, or an alternative entrance via a slope, giving step-free access. The open-plan kitchen/diner has skylights and high ceilings, with a dining table for family meals. The lounge has comfy seating, a wood burner and Smart TV.

Outside, an enclosed patio and lawned area with pergolas gives space for alfresco dining, with a BBQ and outdoor furniture provided. Up to four dogs are welcome throughout the property.

Best for two couples wanting private en-suites and step-free access via the slope entrance, close to Bodmin Moor walks. Less good for anyone wanting nearby beaches - the coast at Port Gaverne is 6.2 miles away.

Nearby: Port Gaverne Beach (6.2mi) and Tregardock Beach (6.3mi). See our St Breward guide for more beaches and walks in the area.
