Eddystone Meadow

Eddystone Meadow is a one-bedroom glamping hut in the countryside near Polbathic, a small village on a tidal creek off the Lynher river, with Looe around 4 miles to the north. It sleeps two in a king-size bed, and a kitchenette with a two-ring hob plus a private shower room make it more self-contained than a simple sleeping pod.

Outside, a fire pit, double hammock, egg chair and picnic table extend the living space in good weather, useful given the hut itself is compact for two. Wi-Fi is included and parking is provided for one car, with one dog accepted. There is no dishwasher, washing machine or private garden, so it suits a couple travelling light rather than a longer self-catering stay.

Downderry Beach is 2.8 miles away, Plaidy Beach is 2.9 miles and East Looe Beach is 3.7 miles from the hut. Whitsand Bay lies a similar distance south. Looe itself has a working fishing harbour and narrow streets of independent shops and fish restaurants, with the South West Coast Path running along the coast for walkers happy to drive to a trailhead first.

**Best for:** a couple wanting simple glamping with a private shower, fire pit and one dog welcome, within reach of Looe's harbour.

**Less good for:** guests needing laundry facilities, step-free access or a beach within walking distance.
