Eddystone Window

Eddystone Window is a one-bedroom lodge on an elevated glamping site near Polbathic, with Looe about 4 miles to the north. It sleeps two in a king-size bed, with a two-ring hob for cooking and one shower room, set slightly higher on the site than some of the other glamping units nearby.

Sea and hillside views open out from the lodge and its outdoor area, which has a fire pit and picnic table for evenings outside. Wi-Fi is included and one parking space is provided, with one dog accepted. There is no dishwasher, washing machine or private garden, keeping the setup simple rather than fully self-catering.

Downderry Beach is 2.8 miles away, Plaidy Beach is 2.9 miles and East Looe Beach is 3.7 miles from the lodge. Polbathic itself sits on a tidal creek off the Lynher river, with Whitsand Bay's cliffs and sand about 4 miles south and Looe's working harbour a similar distance north. Beach trips from here mean a short drive rather than a walk, but the elevated view and fire pit make the site itself a reason to stay in.

**Best for:** a couple wanting sea views, a fire pit and one dog welcome, happy to drive to the beach.

**Less good for:** guests needing laundry facilities, step-free access or a beach within walking distance.
