Edge14

Edge14 is an eight-bedroom house on Edgcumbe Avenue in central Newquay, Cornwall's surf capital, built for large groups rather than a typical family cottage. It can sleep up to 16 guests across the eight rooms, so larger parties should confirm exact bed layouts and bathroom counts with the owner before booking.

Open-plan living areas give the group shared indoor space, and a private hot tub is provided for evenings in after a day on the beach or in town. Dogs are welcome. There is no Wi-Fi, dishwasher, washing machine or on-site parking, so this suits a group happy to park on the street and manage without laundry facilities during the stay.

Restaurants, bars and surf hire line the streets nearby, and the central position cuts down on driving for beach days. Great Western Beach is 200 metres away, Tolcarne Beach is 300 metres and Towan Beach is 700 metres from the house. Fistral Beach, home to international surf competitions and the Boardmasters festival each August, is a longer walk or short drive across town, and Newquay's harbour and nightlife are also within easy reach on foot.

**Less good for:** guests needing confirmed bathroom counts, on-site parking, laundry facilities or step-free access.
