Inside, two bathrooms serve the three bedrooms. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine, the living area has the wood burner, and the open fire adds warmth on cooler evenings. The Heritage Coast beaches are within a short drive. Duckpool Beach is 1.7 miles away - a remote National Trust cove with dramatic cliffs and no facilities, well suited to experienced swimmers and walkers. Sandymouth Beach is 2.1 miles, a National Trust beach with lifeguards in summer and a seasonal cafe. Bude is 5 miles south with the tidal sea pool at Summerleaze and surf hire at Crooklets. The South West Coast Path runs along this stretch of north Cornwall, passing Steeple Rock and the valley above Duckpool.

**Best for:** Families or two couples wanting a countryside barn with direct access to wild north Cornwall beaches, especially good in autumn and winter when the wood burner earns its keep. **Less good for:** Large groups over 6, or anyone wanting resort-style facilities - this is a rural property and the nearest shops are in Bude or Kilkhampton.
