Fairwinds

Fairwinds is a reverse-level, four-bedroom cottage on Lighthouse Hill in Portreath, 300 metres from the beach. The property sleeps 8 and suits families or groups wanting direct access to the north Cornwall coast.

The upper floor holds the main living spaces: a sitting room with a woodburning stove, a kitchen with an electric range oven and coffee maker, and a dining room. Two Smart TVs are provided across the living areas. On the ground floor, four bedrooms - one king-size, one bunk bed, and two doubles - are served by a bathroom with bath and walk-in shower, and a separate shower room. Bed linen, towels, and fuel for the stove are included.

An enclosed rear courtyard has artificial lawn, a barbecue, and an outdoor shower. A separate side garden offers decking with furniture. Off-road parking fits two cars. Portreath Beach - sandy at low tide with reliable Atlantic surf and RNLI lifeguards in summer - is a 5-minute walk at 300 metres. Godrevy Beach, the wide National Trust strand with views of Virginia Woolf's lighthouse, is 4.9 miles along the coast.

Portreath is a former mining port on the central north coast, 4 miles from Redruth. The village marks one end of the Coast to Coast cycle trail to Devoran, and the coast path runs in both directions along the cliffs.
