Landrake cottage with medieval roots, sleeps four, one dog

Flagstaff Cottage sits in the middle of Landrake, a village near Saltash, and its history reaches back to medieval times. It began as a cob-walled thatched home, later served as the village infant school and then a scout hut, before becoming a two-bedroom holiday cottage for four.

One bedroom has a double bed. The other has a super king-size bed with a zip-and-link fitting that can be set up as a twin on request. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over, a basin and a WC. The open-plan living space holds the kitchen, dining area and sitting area, and the kitchen has an electric oven, a gas hob, a fridge, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a microwave.

There is a garden, full fibre WiFi and a TV, plus central heating. Fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. A shop and a pub are each 0.1 mile away.

One well-behaved dog is welcome for a pet supplement. All pets must be declared at the time of booking, and the supplement is still applied if an undisclosed pet is found to have stayed. Smoking is not allowed.

The two-bedroom layout suits a couple or a small family with one dog; with a single bathroom, it is less good for four adults.
