Manor Barn

Manor Barn is a converted barn near St Mellion in east Cornwall, sleeping 6 in three bedrooms - two king-size rooms (one with an en-suite walk-in shower, one zip-and-link convertible to twins) and a ground-floor twin. A family bathroom has both a bath and a walk-in shower, with a separate cloakroom on the ground floor.

The kitchen-diner is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, and a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room. The sitting room has a Smart TV and WiFi. Oil central heating keeps the property warm through cooler months. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

Extensive gardens to the rear include lawns, a patio area with furniture, and off-road parking for multiple cars. Two dogs are welcome, though the garden fencing is not fully dog-proof - worth noting for escape artists. There are steps up to the property and a few small level changes between rooms inside.

The location is rural and inland - the nearest pub is 2.4 miles away, shops 4.4 miles. Downderry Beach, a south-facing mile-long stretch of sand and shingle, is 8.8 miles to the south. Whitsand Bay, 4 miles of cliff-backed golden sand on the Rame Peninsula, is 9.4 miles away. Saltash is the nearest town, with Brunel's Royal Albert Bridge and Plymouth just across the Tamar for wider amenities.

Best for a family or group of up to six wanting a ground-floor twin bedroom and multi-car parking. Less good for dog owners with escape-prone pets - the garden fencing isn't fully secure.
