Flotsam

Flotsam is a three-bedroom cottage on the Pendra Loweth holiday park, also known as the Village of Gardens, on the edge of Falmouth. It sleeps five and comes with its own EV charging point, plus access to the park's hot tub, splash pool and gym - facilities less common on this stretch of coast.

Downstairs is open-plan: a sitting and dining area leads into a modern kitchen, with doors out to a private patio and picnic table for evening barbecues. Upstairs are three bedrooms - two doubles and a single - sharing the cottage's one bathroom, worth factoring in for a group of five. There is no dishwasher, and Flotsam does not accept dogs.

The wider Pendra Loweth site also has tennis courts and a children's play area set across lawned, landscaped grounds, so there is plenty to do without leaving the park. Maenporth Beach, a sheltered cove good for swimming and paddleboarding with its own cafe and restaurant, is a fifteen-minute walk away, about 0.9 miles. Falmouth itself, with its harbour, National Maritime Museum and choice of restaurants, is roughly three miles from the cottage.

Best for families with younger children who will make use of the park's pool, play area and tennis courts, and for groups wanting easy access to a hot tub without booking somewhere fully remote. Less good for guests who struggle with stairs, since all three bedrooms sit on the first floor, or anyone hoping to bring a dog along.
