The nearest beach is about six and a half miles away, and the historic seaport of Fowey, six miles south with its restaurants and galleries, makes a good day out. Restormel Castle is 2.5 miles, the Eden Project 5.6 miles, and Newquay Cornwall Airport 19 miles.

Best for a couple or family wanting a quiet countryside base with private parking and space to spread out. Less good for anyone without a car, since shops are about seven and a half miles away and the nearest pub is half a mile down unlit lanes.
