Crift Farm Cottage

Crift Farm Cottage is a two-bedroom annexe to the owner's farmhouse in Lanlivery, a rural parish 1.5 miles west of Lostwithiel in central Cornwall. The property sleeps four and comes with a hot tub, BBQ, and 4 acres of fields for dog walking. Two dogs are welcome.

Arranged over three floors, the cottage has a double bedroom and a twin room (zip-link, convertible to a double). The bedrooms adjoin each other. A bathroom with bath and shower over is on the same level. The open-plan ground floor combines kitchen, dining area, and sitting area, fitted with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine, and dishwasher. Three TVs with FreeSat and WiFi are included. Underfloor heating runs throughout.

Outside, the garden has patio furniture, the hot tub, and a BBQ. Off-road parking fits three cars. The property does not accept children under 6.

Carlyon Bay, a long sandy beach with a gently sloping seabed near St Austell, is 5 miles to the south. Charlestown Beach - beside the Georgian harbour used as a Poldark filming location - is 5.5 miles away. The Eden Project is a short drive north, and the Saints Way footpath connecting Padstow to Fowey passes through the parish. Lostwithiel, the nearest town for shops and a railway station, is about a mile and a half east.

Best for a couple or two friends with dogs, thanks to the private hot tub and 4 acres of fields for walking. Less good for families with under-6s or anyone needing step-free access, since the cottage is arranged over three floors and does not accept young children.
