Lower Roselath Retreat

Lower Roselath Retreat is a one-bedroom cottage on a working beef farm near Lanlivery, a village about 1.5 miles west of Lostwithiel. It sleeps two in a double bedroom with one shower room.

The open-plan ground floor combines a sitting room and a compact kitchen, with no dishwasher, so guests should plan on washing up by hand. Patio views face the farm, and an enclosed garden gives private outside space. Guests can also use an on-site bird hide, a distinctive feature for a small farm cottage. WiFi, parking and a washing machine are included, and dogs are welcome.

A village pub is reached by a two-field walk across the farm, and the Saints Way long-distance footpath, which links Padstow to Fowey, passes through the parish. The adjoining cottage can be booked alongside this one for a larger party. Fowey and its estuary are within about 4 miles south, and the Eden Project is a short drive north.

Carlyon Bay is 4.3 miles away, Charlestown Beach is 4.8 miles and Readymoney Cove 5.4 miles, so this is a farmland base for driving to the coast rather than a beachside one.
