Foxhole Cottage

Foxhole Cottage is a split-level two-bedroom cottage near Bude, sleeping four across a double and a twin bedroom that share one bathroom. Exposed stone walls and ceiling beams distinguish the split-level living space from newer cottages nearby.

WiFi, parking and a dishwasher are included, and up to two dogs are welcome. There is no step-free access, and the split-level design brings changes of level through the cottage rather than a flat, step-free plan. Guests can use shared grounds with tennis courts and space for outdoor games. Parking is private, for two cars. The twin bedroom is on the upper level, reached by a narrow spiral staircase, and the lounge has a Smart TV.

Widemouth Bay is the nearest named beach at 0.9 miles, followed by Millook Beach at 2.2 miles and Summerleaze Beach at 3 miles. The South West Coast Path runs around 1.9 miles away, and Bude is the wider base for surf beaches and cafes.

The shared grounds with tennis courts and space for outdoor games are the main outdoor space for families staying here.

**Best for:** a family of four wanting a dog-friendly character cottage with tennis courts, parking and Widemouth Bay under a mile away. **Less good for:** guests requiring step-free accommodation throughout.
