Sea views reach both bedrooms of Gwinear, a first-floor apartment in the Riviera development on the seaward side of Carbis Bay. The master is a super-king with an en-suite shower room; the second room has twin beds. Either room can be set up the other way on request, but requests must reach the owners at least 7 days before arrival, or they are subject to enquiry and extra housekeeping costs.

The open-plan living area has triple-aspect windows, oak flooring, a three-seat sofa with two tub armchairs and a smart TV with Freeview, and an oak table with six chairs. A separate kitchen at the side has a sea view through a large window and sliding doors to the balcony, where a table and four chairs are set out. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, a washer/dryer and a cafetiere. A family bathroom off the hallway has a bath with a shower over. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included, and there is WiFi.

The front door is up 19 steps over 3 flights. There is off-road parking for 1 car, and a highchair and travel cot can be requested, with guests bringing their own cot bedding. The beach is 0.3 miles away, the shop 0.4 miles and the pub 0.5 miles; the coastal path starts at the end of the drive.

It suits a couple or a family of four wanting flexible bedding. It is less good for anyone who finds three flights of steps hard going. No pets and no smoking. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out from 10am.
