Halfway Tree

The owners named Halfway Tree after memories of a place in Jamaica. The first-floor apartment sits directly above the beach in Carbis Bay, in the Carbis Beach Apartments development, and it sleeps four. French doors open from the living area onto a seaward-facing balcony with a table and four chairs.

The king-size main bedroom has an en-suite with a bath, a shower over it and a double basin, plus a Juliet balcony and a second door onto the main balcony. The twin room is at the rear. A separate shower room has a walk-in shower. Through an archway from the dining area, where an oak table seats six, is a rear kitchen with a double oven, a washer/dryer, a dishwasher and a coffee machine. The TV has Sky with the Sports and Variety package; the Sky box PIN cannot be given out, so daytime viewing may be restricted. Bed linen, towels, fuel, power and WiFi are included.

There is an allocated parking space for one car inside the security gates. From the parking area the apartment is down one level, by fifteen steps. Guests can use the communal landscaped gardens, which lead towards the coastal path. The beach is 0.2 miles away, the shop 0.5 miles and the pub 0.8 miles. A cot and highchair are provided; guests bring their own cot bedding.

It suits a couple or a small family. It is less good for anyone who cannot manage fifteen steps. No pets and no smoking. Check-in is at 4pm and check-out by 10am.
