Harbour View House

Harbour View House is a four-bedroom house for eight across three floors in Fowey, the working harbour town where the china clay port still ships around 450,000 tonnes of cargo a year. Two king-size rooms sit alongside a twin and a bunk room, sharing a family bathroom and a separate shower room.

The bunk room makes the eight-person capacity better suited to a family group than four couples wanting matching doubles. Harbour views reach into the first-floor sitting room and the top-floor main bedroom through a bay window. Wi-Fi, parking, a dishwasher and a washing machine are all included, and a walled garden gives outdoor seating. Dogs are not accepted.

Fowey harbour is a short walk away for restaurants and the passenger ferry to Polruan, which crosses in under 5 minutes. Readymoney Cove is 800 metres from the house, tucked below St Catherine's Castle. Lantic Bay is 1.4 miles and Lansallos Beach 2.6 miles further along the coast. **Best for:** a family or group wanting four bedrooms, harbour views and Fowey on foot. **Less good for:** eight adults wanting four double rooms, guests travelling with a dog, or anyone needing step-free access or more than two bathrooms.
