Hazeldene

Hazeldene is a three-bedroom detached bungalow near Crackington Haven on the north Cornwall coast. The cottage sits in an elevated position with extensive views across fields to the sea - visible from both inside and outside the building.

Three bedrooms and two bathrooms sleep six, which suits a family or a group sharing. The living space has an open fire for cooler evenings. Wifi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine are included. Up to two dogs are welcome.

Outside, landscaped gardens surround the property with seating positioned to make the most of the coastal outlook. Parking is on site. Crackington Haven beach - sheltered between dramatic headlands - sits around half a mile downhill, with rock pools at low tide and lifeguard cover during school holidays. For a change of sand, Millook Beach is 3.3 miles up the coast and the long surf beach at Widemouth Bay is 4.9 miles. Boscastle is 6 miles south and Bude 11 miles north. Weeks run Friday to Friday from £739, and six guests rate the cottage 8.7 out of 10.

Best for families who want coast-path access, a dog-friendly base, and sea views without being on a busy main road. Less good for anyone needing level access to the beach - the path from the property down to the cove is steep.
