Tranquil Retreat

Tranquil Retreat is a detached 3-bedroom cottage in an elevated position near Crackington Haven, a dramatic North Cornwall cove enclosed by cliffs rising to nearly 400 feet. The cottage sleeps 6, sits roughly 1 mile from the beach, and has 2 off-road parking spaces.

The ground floor opens into a bright open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area, with 3 sets of sliding doors onto a large deck and far-reaching countryside views. The lounge has a Smart TV and wood burner. Kitchen equipment includes a range electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge-freezer. A utility room off the kitchen has washing machine and tumble dryer. A shower room completes the ground floor. Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms - a king-size with additional single day bed and en-suite shower, a twin, and a king-size with en-suite bathroom including separate bath and shower - plus a further bathroom with shower over bath. All 3 bedrooms have countryside views. No dogs.

Crackington Haven Beach - an RNLI-patrolled cove with reliable surf, lifeguarded in summer - is 1.5 miles by road. The South West Coast Path runs through the hamlet, with the section north to Bude crossing High Cliff at 731 feet, the highest sheer cliff in Cornwall. Boscastle is about 5 miles south; Bude is 5 miles north.

Best for: families or groups of 6 wanting rural countryside views, a wood burner, and easy access to dramatic coastal walking without being in the village itself. Less good for: dog owners, beach-front stays, or those who need to be walking distance from a pub.
