Hendra Holiday Park

A large family holiday park on the southern edge of Newquay, with self-catering units that share the swimming pools, restaurants, and entertainment programme on site. The park sits 2.2 miles from Newquay town and station, and 5.6 miles from Cornwall Airport Newquay - it's a base, not a beach property.

Accommodation runs from caravans through to lodges, each with private bathroom, fully fitted kitchen, dining area, and TV. The leisure side is the draw: a heated indoor pool, a seasonal outdoor pool, an indoor play area, and a games room. The on-site restaurant serves British and pizza menus and there's a bar with live music in high season. Wi-Fi and parking are included; pets are not allowed in the lettings.

The closest sand is Tolcarne Beach, 2.4km north and an easy taxi or short drive. Towan Beach (with the small island house on its suspension bridge) is 2.9km, and Fistral Beach for surfing sits a similar distance west. Eden Project is around 25 minutes by car. The park's own shuttle and the local 587 bus link to town in season.

Best for families wanting a pool-and-entertainment park within a short hop of Newquay's beaches and surf scene. Less good for couples after quiet, dog owners, or guests who want to walk to the sea from their door.
