High Tide

High Tide is a top-floor apartment beside the river in Looe, the south Cornwall fishing harbour, sleeping five across two bedrooms. Large windows look out through the trees towards the water, and the centre of Looe is under half a mile on foot.

Inside, the single-level apartment opens into a bright lounge/kitchen/diner. Fitted corner kitchen units give space to cook, with a wooden table and chairs nearby and a leather sofa and two armchairs set around a wide window with river views. A washing machine is provided. The main bedroom has a king-size bed, and the second has a bunk arrangement with a single on top and a double beneath. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over.

The apartment does not have its own outdoor space but benefits from pedestrian access down into Looe. Off-street parking is on site and there is wifi throughout; note that dogs are not accepted.

East Looe Beach lies 800 metres away and is a sheltered sandy cove. Hannafore Beach and Plaidy Beach are both 0.9 miles along the coast. Looe itself has shops, restaurants, cafes and a museum within easy walking distance. Kilminorth Woods sits half a mile away, a quiet picnic spot with woodland paths. Further afield, the National Trust coastline at Lantic Bay is about 8.5 miles west, with a shingle beach and a network of footpaths running through unspoilt countryside.

Best for a family of five wanting river views and an easy walk into Looe, with off-street parking on site. Less good for anyone with mobility needs - it's a top-floor apartment.
