Hove To is a ground-floor three-bedroom apartment at Helford Passage, with a patio facing directly onto the Helford River. It sleeps six. Parquet flooring and natural wood furniture run throughout, and the property is arranged on a single level.

Inside, three bedrooms and two bathrooms give comfortable space for six. A large living area with a wood burner sits alongside a well-fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. Wifi is included, and parking is on site. Changeover is on Fridays, with check-in from 4pm and check-out by 10am.

The sunny patio overlooks the river - useful for watching the foot ferry crossing and the kayak traffic on the water. A shared heated outdoor swimming pool opens 1 May to end of September. Kayaks and paddleboards can be hired from the beach a short walk away. The Ferryboat Inn on the quay serves seafood and is about five minutes on foot.

Best for families wanting a single-level property with direct river access, good walking from the door, and the option of National Trust gardens nearby. Trebah Garden and Glendurgan are a short drive; Falmouth and its galleries are around 25 minutes by road. Less good for families with young children who need cots or more sleeping capacity.
