Inter Nos

Inter Nos is a three-bedroom cottage set above Looe harbour on Cornwall's south-east coast, sleeping 6 across a king-size room, a double and a twin. Its elevated position looks down over the working harbour, where fishing boats still land their catch on the quayside.

Two bathrooms serve the three bedrooms. Period features and coastal decor run through the interior, and both a wood burner and an open fire give two ways to warm the living space on cooler evenings. Wi-Fi, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer are included. One dog is welcome, and a private garden is provided. There is space to load and unload outside, but no parking on site.

East Looe Beach is a level 400m walk, sheltered by the harbour walls and well suited to families. Hannafore Beach, 0.7 miles round the headland in West Looe, has some of the best rock pooling on this stretch of coast, and Plaidy Beach is 0.8 miles east. Narrow streets running up from the harbour hold independent shops, galleries and fish restaurants, and boat trips to the Looe Island nature reserve leave from the quay in summer. **Best for:** families or two couples wanting a harbour outlook, two fireplaces and beaches within a mile on foot. **Less good for:** groups needing step-free access or space for more than one dog.
