Island House is a detached riverside cottage in Golant, a small village on the River Fowey about 2 miles from Fowey town. The property has 3 bedrooms, sleeps 6, and welcomes 2 dogs.

The ground floor has a kitchen/diner, a sitting room with a woodburning stove, and a study. A cloakroom is also on this level. Upstairs, 1 king-size bedroom has a TV, balcony, and en-suite walk-in shower. The second king-size has a TV, and a twin room completes the sleeping arrangements. A family bathroom with bath and shower over serves the upper floor. The property has underfloor heating throughout, plus central heating and a starter pack for the wood burner from November to March. Two TVs, a Blu-ray and DVD player, WiFi, and a landline are provided. A highchair, cot, and stairgate are available on request.

Outside, an enclosed garden has a patio with furniture and a barbecue. Off-road parking accommodates 2 cars. The village pub is 0.1 miles away.

Readymoney Cove is 2.2 miles - a sheltered sandy cove below Fowey with Henry VIII's St Catherine's Castle on the headland. Lantic Bay, a National Trust beach reached by a steep 20-30 minute walk, is 2.8 miles away. Fowey's harbour, restaurants, and ferry crossing to Bodinnick are about 2 miles east. The Eden Project is roughly 2 miles north, making Golant a practical base for south Cornwall without the crowds of the larger coastal towns.
