Downderry Beach is 2.2 miles and offers a quieter stretch of South East Cornwall coast away from the summer crowds. Looe is 5 miles north with its working fish quay, sandy East Looe Beach, and range of restaurants along the quayside. The Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary is within 6 miles to the north, and Adrenalin Quarry - offering zip lines and giant swings - is a similar distance away at Menheniot.

Up to 2 dogs are accepted. WiFi and parking are included. Works for families or groups of 6 who prioritise outdoor space and traditional character over modern polish, and who are happy to drive to beaches and attractions. Not great for guests expecting high-spec finishes or strong digital connectivity - the rural setting and rating history suggest a more rustic experience.
