Kilcarreg is a detached 3-bedroom cottage in Rock, the sailing village on the Camel Estuary opposite Padstow. The property sleeps six and backs onto open countryside at the edge of the village, with Daymer Bay Beach 1.4 miles away.

Inside, a king-size four-poster double has its own en-suite shower room and TV. The second bedroom is a double with basin, and the third a twin. A main bathroom has an L-shaped bath with shower, twin basins, and WC, plus a ground-floor wet room provides accessible bathing. The sitting room has a woodburner, and a separate snug and conservatory each seat three. A kitchen with dining area and utility room complete the ground floor.

The rear garden is split-level and lawned with patio furniture, while the front garden offers a second patio. Off-road parking fits two cars, with a garage available for storage. Note that steep, uneven steps in the rear garden require supervision for children.

Rock's water taxi to Padstow runs every 20 minutes, giving access to Rick Stein's restaurants without driving. Greenaway Beach is 1.8 miles north, and Polzeath's surf beach is 2.2 miles away. The Camel Trail cycle path starts at Wadebridge, 4 miles south.

Best for multi-generational groups thanks to the ground-floor accessible wet room, with a water taxi to Padstow nearby. Less good for families with young children in the garden - the rear steps are steep and uneven.
