Kittiwake

From the second-floor double bedroom of Kittiwake, a furnished balcony looks over the sea, with views reaching to the Lizard. The cottage is in Newlyn, across three storeys, with granite walls and Victorian floorboards inside. Penzance is 1.2 miles away, Marazion 6.6 miles and St Ives 8.9 miles.

It sleeps six. The king-size room and the bunk room are on the first floor next to the only bathroom, which has a bath with a shower over. Bed linen and towels are included, along with fuel and power. Feature fireplaces in the bedrooms are not in use.

The kitchen/diner has an oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle and toaster, and the sitting room has a TV. Gas central heating and WiFi are in place, and a travel cot and highchair are available.

Outside is an enclosed courtyard with furniture and off-road parking for one car. A shop is 0.3 miles away, a pub 0.1 miles, the beach 0.3 miles and a river 0.4 miles. Two well-behaved pets are welcome; smoking is not allowed.

It suits a family or friends who want a five-minute walk to the town hub of Newlyn, with dogs coming too; it is less good for anyone who wants to avoid stairs, as bedrooms and bathroom are spread over the upper floors.
