Laity Vean Farmhouse and Hideaway is a five-bedroom property on the outskirts of Carbis Bay, split between a traditional farmhouse and a self-contained annexe called The Hideaway. Together the two buildings sleep 9 guests across 3 floors, with 3 bathrooms and private enclosed gardens for each unit.

The farmhouse has its living space on the ground floor - a games room with pool table, a large sitting room with window seat, a separate dining room, and a kitchen with breakfast table. Upstairs, three bedrooms include a master with en-suite, a twin, and a single. The Hideaway adds two double bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen with generous worktop space, and a conservatory with Smart TV and dining area.

Both buildings have their own enclosed gardens. Carbis Bay beach - a Blue Flag sandy cove - is 600 metres away, and Porthkidney Beach sits 1.3 miles to the east on the edge of the Hayle Estuary. Off-road parking is included.

Carbis Bay is one stop from St Ives on the branch line, or a 25-minute walk along the South West Coast Path. The path runs in both directions from here - west towards Lelant and the RSPB reserve at the Hayle Estuary, or east along the cliffs into St Ives. Hayle is a short drive north, and the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno is about 15 miles southwest.

Best for two families travelling together, since the farmhouse and Hideaway annexe each have their own kitchen, garden, and separate bedrooms for privacy. Less good for a couple wanting a compact base, as the five bedrooms and games room are built for larger groups.
