Lakeside Byre

Lakeside Byre is a single-storey converted stable on an estate near Kilkhampton in north Cornwall, built without internal steps and with wider doorways throughout - accessible for guests with reduced mobility. Three bedrooms sleep six across a super-king zip-link bed (convertible to twins on request), a double, and a twin. The beamed lounge has a cathedral ceiling and a wood burner at its centre.

Shared estate facilities are the standout: an indoor swimming pool, sauna, a hot tub, tennis court, four coarse fishing lakes, children’s play area, and woodland walks through the grounds. The private patio has its own hot tub and BBQ. Dogs are welcome, EV charging is on site, and parking is included. No wifi is available at this property.

Sandymouth Beach - a National Trust beach with reliable surf and a cafe - is about 4.6 miles away. Bude, with its sea pool, surf schools, and canal walks, is roughly 8 miles. The Tamar Lakes walking route starts about 1 mile from the door - two reservoirs with waymarked paths that are well suited to guests with dogs. The north Cornwall coast path connects to Crackington Haven and Boscastle within easy driving distance.
