Best for families or dog owners wanting a well-reviewed base within easy reach of several north Cornwall beaches. Bedruthan Steps is about 2 miles north; Newquay 5 miles south. The National Trust's Trerice and the Lappa Valley Railway are both within 6 miles for wet-day options. Less good for those wanting to walk to the beach - the lanes require a car or bike.
