Little Egret

Little Egret is a mid-terraced cottage in Padstow, sleeping four across two bedrooms - a double and a twin with single beds. The property sits on the edge of town with green fields immediately behind the enclosed rear terrace, which faces south and catches sun through most of the day. Parking is included on site.

The working harbour, with its fish stalls, independent restaurants and regular ferry to Rock, is 600 metres downhill on foot. Padstow's fish-and-chip shops, bakeries and the seafood restaurants associated with Rick Stein's food empire are all within easy walking distance.

Trevone Bay is 2.8km from the cottage - a sandy beach in a sheltered cove with a rock pool and National Trust land behind it. Daymer Bay, on the Camel Estuary, is 3.1km - calmer water and popular with families. Greenaway Beach, a quieter stretch accessed via a cliff path, is 3.7km.

The Camel Trail - the 18-mile cycling and walking path from Padstow to Bodmin Moor - begins at the harbour. Bike hire is available in town. The trail follows the River Camel through Wadebridge to Bodmin, with flat, easy terrain suitable for children.

One dog is welcome. The cottage has a dishwasher and washing machine for longer stays.

Works for couples or small families who want a base close to Padstow's food scene with beach access under 3km. Not great for guests who want to be right on the sand or who need more than 4 sleeping spaces.
