Lodge Sixty Six

Lodge Sixty Six is a detached, four-bedroom lodge within Retallack Resort and Spa, near St Columb Major in north Cornwall. The split-level layout sleeps eight across two floors, with ground-floor bedrooms making it accessible for guests with limited mobility.

The four bedrooms include two super-king doubles (convertible to twins via zip-link) and two twin rooms, also zip-link. Two bedrooms have en-suite walk-in showers. A ground-floor bathroom has both a bath and walk-in shower. The open-plan ground floor covers kitchen, dining, and sitting areas, while a separate first-floor sitting room gives a second living space. The kitchen is fitted with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, and dishwasher.

Patio areas front and rear have outdoor seating, and a barbecue is provided. Off-road parking accommodates three cars. Guests have access to Retallack's on-site facilities - water park, spa, fitness studio, restaurant, playground, and kids' club. Two pets are welcome.

Mawgan Porth Beach is 5.3 miles away, a wide sandy bay with reliable surf and RNLI lifeguards in summer. Watergate Bay, with its two-mile stretch of sand and beachside restaurants, is 5.7 miles. St Columb Major itself is a market town known for the centuries-old Hurling the Silver Ball tradition, with Newquay's beaches about 15 minutes by car.

Best for larger family groups or multi-generational parties with dogs, given the ground-floor accessible bedrooms, three-car parking and on-site water park, spa and kids' club; less suited to those seeking a quiet, secluded stay, since Retallack is a lively holiday resort.
