Longhouse Bungalow is a 3-bedroom, single-storey cottage on Longhouse Lane in Rock, the estuary village facing Padstow across the Camel. The all-ground-floor layout sleeping 6 suits families who need step-free access throughout, or groups who want bedrooms and living space on one level.

Inside, a super-king bedroom (convertible to twin on request) is joined by a double with an en-suite walk-in shower and a twin room. A second shower room serves the rest of the house. The sitting room has an open fire for cooler evenings, and the kitchen-diner runs to electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. WiFi and a Smart TV are included. Two dogs are welcome - the enclosed rear garden with patio furniture gives them a safe space, and off-road parking handles two cars.

Three beaches sit within 2 miles. Daymer Bay - sheltered, sandy, and calm at the estuary mouth - is 1.2 miles south along the coast path, passing close to St Enodoc Church where the poet John Betjeman is buried. Greenaway, a quieter cove with rock pools only reachable on foot, is 1.6 miles. Polzeath with its RNLI-patrolled surf break is 1.9 miles north.

The village shop is a few minutes' walk and the Mariners pub is half a mile. Rock's water taxi to Padstow runs every 20 minutes - handy for Rick Stein's restaurants without the drive. The Camel Trail cycle path picks up at Wadebridge, 4 miles south.

**Best for:** Families with young children or older guests who need everything on one floor; dog owners who want beach access without a long drive; groups wanting a sociable kitchen-diner.

**Less good for:** Those after sea views (the cottage is inland from the waterfront); anyone wanting a hot tub or pool.
